A development board, also known as a single board computer ( SBC ), is as its name suggests a computer built entirely on a single circuit board, with microprocessor(s), memory, input/output (I/O), and the features required in a functional computer. These single board computers were made as demonstration or development systems, for educational systems, or for use as embedded computing controllers. Even many types of home or laptop computers integrate all their functions on a single printed circuit board.
