Automation components are key elements that work together to perform tasks automatically, minimizing human intervention. These components include sensors, actuators, controllers, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and communication systems, among others. Essentially, an automated system takes data from the environment (sensors), processes it (controllers), and acts upon it (actuators), often with the aid of interfaces for human interaction.
