Flex Sensor 2.2" [SEN-10264] - (AD9630)

Description:

A simple, 5.6cm long flexible sensor. Flexing it increases its resistance. Patented technology by Spectra Symbol—they claim these sensors were used in the original Nintendo Power Glove. I love the Nintendo Power Glove! It's amazing!

The resistance of the flexible sensor changes when the metal pads are on the outside of the bend (text on the inside of the bend).

The connector has a 2.5cm pitch and is breadboard-compatible. See the datasheet for full specifications.

Note: Avoid flexing or forcing the sensor base. The sensor's useful range can be flexed without problems, but be careful to minimize flexing outside of this range. For best results, mount the base and bottom securely and allow only the flexible sensor to flex.
