This is 30 feet of stainless steel fiber spun conductive thread wound on a plastic bobbin. Use it to stitch all your e-textile projects. This small bobbin is a great way to get into wearable electronics without the upfront cost of buying a whole spool of thread, 30 feet of thread is enough to sew a simple design into your shirt, backpack or hat.

What sets this thread apart from the other conductive thread we carry is the fact that it is actually spun from this stainless steel fiber and does not have a nylon core. This means that, while it may not be easily solderable, because it is stainless, it also won't burn when you touch it with a soldering iron. Suitable for hand or machine sewing (as bobbin thread), it is particularly 'toothy' which means it grips fabric tightly; if you've had issues with slippery conductive thread that won't lay flat or knot up, this thread will be a relief. We've had no problems using it for tight connections but if you're concerned, waxing the thread should keep it manageable!
