Description:
This breakout is a sensor designed for water detection, which can be widely used to detect rainfall, water level, and even liquid leakage. The breakout board is mainly composed of three parts: a header, a 1MΩ resistor, and several bare conductor traces. This sensor works by having a series of exposed traces connected to ground and twisted together. The sensor traces have a weak 1MΩ pull-up resistor. The resistor will pull the sensor trace high until a drop of water causes a short between the sensor trace and the grounded trace. This board will work with the digital I/O pins on your Arduino, or you can use it with the analog pins to detect the amount of water induced by contact between the grounded traces and the sensor. This element can measure water level using a series of exposed parallel traces. This high-sensitivity water sensor can easily detect water and generate an analog signal. The output analog value can be used directly in the program function to achieve the water level alarm function. This module features low power consumption and high sensitivity, which are the main features of this module. The high-sensitivity water sensor can be compatible with Arduino UNO, Arduino Mega2560, and more.
