Description:

This is a KSD-9700 series thermal protector. The KSD-9700 series thermal protector consists of a highly sensitive, plate-shaped bimetallic element composed of a moving contact and a static contact. When the thermostat conducts current and heat is generated due to some problem, the temperature rises to the product's rated operating temperature. The bimetallic element then produces internal torsion and acts quickly, pushing the moving contact head. This causes the contact point to turn off (or on, depending on the product model) and the power supply to disconnect, protecting the electrical appliance. This provides thermal protection.

When the temperature of the electrical device to be protected drops to the rated reset temperature, the bimetallic element returns to its normal state, and the contact point closes (or opens) again.
