Description:
Finally, your plants can talk to you! Just don't get mad when it's only to let you know when they need something. With this module, you can tell when your plants need watering by the soil moisture in your pot, garden, or patio. The two sensor probes act as variable resistors. Water is conductive, so the more water there is in the soil, the better the conductivity and the lower the resistance.
Use it in a home automatic irrigation system, connect it to IoT, or simply use it to know when your plant needs a little love. Installing this sensor and its PCB will set you on the path to developing a green thumb!
This product measures soil moisture levels using capacitive sensors, rather than resistive sensors like other types of moisture sensors. It is made of a corrosion-resistant material that gives it a long lifespan. Insert it into the soil and impress your friends with real-time soil moisture data!
The product includes a built-in voltage regulator that gives it an operating voltage range of 3.3 ~ 5.5V. It is compatible with low-voltage MCUs (3.3V and 5V logic). To make it compatible with a Raspberry Pi, an ADC converter is required.
Features:
- Interface: 3-wire
- VCC: 3.3V - 5V
- GND: Ground
- AOut: Analog output interface
