VL53L3CX Distance Sensor Breakout - 3 Meter - (AD54018)

Description:

The VL53L3CX is an incredible ToF (Time of Flight) rangefinder from STMicroelectronics, who brought us the venerable VL53L1X. It shares the same tiny form factor as its predecessor, but has learned a cool new trick: multi-object detection! Using some very sophisticated algorithms, the VL53L3CX can detect different objects within the field of view with depth understanding, something that isn’t very common in laser rangefinders. The VL53L3CX has a field of view of approximately 25° and can detect objects up to 3 meters away, making it ideal for robotics, IoT, and smart lighting applications.

There is no Arduino library available for the VL53L3CX yet, however, STMicroelectronics offers a full set of software drivers for C and Linux.

- Immune to cross-interference from cover glass and long-distance fingerprint smudges

- Short distance, high precision linearity

- Multiple target detection and distance measurement
