Description:

The MQ-9 Gas Sensor module is a highly sensitive semiconductor device capable of detecting carbon monoxide and combustible gas concentrations. When the sensor detects either of these signals, it will emit a variable analog signal depending on the gas concentration detected.

This module can detect concentrations from 10 to 1000 ppm and combustible gas from 100 to 10,000 ppm. The MQ-9 sensor consists of only three terminals: two for power and the third for an analog voltage output. You only need a microcontroller to read this signal and manipulate it according to your project's needs. It is compatible with any microcontroller, including Arduino. The temperature at which the sensor should work optimally is from -10 to 50°C and its current consumption is around less than 150mA at 5V.
