Alphanumeric Display - Red 0.8" [SH8103BS-AB] - (AD45630)

Description:

Elegant display, 012345678 or 9! Gaze, mesmerized, at ABCDEFGHIJKLM, well, it can display the entire alphabet. You get the idea. This is a beautiful, bright 16-segment alphanumeric display that can show letters and numbers in a gorgeous red hue. It's super bright and designed for viewing from distances up to 23 feet (7 meters) away.

These have a brightness of 10mcd. You can drive them with less current to get the same brightness to save power, or crank them up to 20mA and have them at their brightest. There are nine pins per side on these, so 18 pins total, with a 0.1" pitch so you can easily breadboard it with a row on each side.

Note: You can refer to the datasheet below. It should be noted that this datasheet corresponds to the 0.5-inch version, while the version we offer is 0.8 inches.

Important: DO NOT exceed 1.8V per LED. See graphs on page 3 of the datasheet.
