ICL8038 Precision Waveform Generator/Voltage Controlled Oscillator - (AD4525)

Description:

The ICL8038 waveform generator is a monolithic integrated circuit capable of producing high-precision sine, square, triangular, sawtooth, and pulse waveforms with a minimum of external components. The frequency (or repetition rate) can be externally selected from 0.001 Hz to more than 300 kHz using either resistors or capacitors, and frequency modulation and sweep can be achieved with an external voltage. The ICL8038 is manufactured using advanced monolithic technology, utilizing Schottky barrier diodes and thin-film resistors, and the output is stable over a wide range of temperature and supply variations. These devices can be connected with a phase-locked loop circuit to reduce temperature drift to less than 250 ppm / °C.
