0.96" 128x64 OLED Display with I2C (White) - (AD43946)

Description:

This display is small, approximately 0.9 inches diagonal, but very legible due to the high contrast of an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) type display. This display is made of 128x64 individual white OLED pixels, each one is turned on or off by a controller IC. This display makes its own light, it doesn't need backlighting; this is why it reduces the required power and why it has high contrast.

The controller IC, SSD1306, can communicate in two ways, I2C or SPI. The OLED itself requires a 3.3V power supply for communication, but it includes a 3.3V regulator and all pins are adapted so that it can work with 5V devices.

Power requirements depend somewhat on what part of the screen is illuminated but on average the screen uses approximately 40mA from the 3.3V supply.
