APDS-9960 - SparkFun RGB and Gesture Sensor [SEN-12787] - (AD38336)

Description:

This is the SparkFun RGB and Gesture Sensor, a small expansion board with an integrated APDS-9960 sensor that offers ambient light and color measurement, proximity sensing, and contactless gesture detection. With this RGB and gesture sensor, you can control a computer, a microcontroller, a robot, and more with a simple wave of your hand. In fact, it's the same sensor used in the Samsung Galaxy S5 and probably one of the best gesture sensors on the market for its price.

The APDS-9960 is a rugged device with built-in UV and IR blocking filters, four independent direction-sensitive diodes, and an I²C-compatible interface. For your convenience, we've divided the following pins: VL (optional power to the IR LED), GND (ground), VCC (power to the APDS-9960 sensor), SDA (I²C data), SCL (I²C clock), and INT (interrupt). Each APDS-9960 also has a detection range of 10 to 20 cm (4 to 8 inches).
