Description:
Riding the waves of the very popular Arduino USB board, we find this small prototype shield. Originally generated with the collaboration between the people at SFE and ITP @ NYU, the ProtoShield partners with the Arduino USB board, giving the user a small soldering area, two general LEDs, access to a BlueSMiRF socket, a push button, and most importantly - the Arduino reset switch is brought to the top level. A ProtoShield quickstart guide is available!
It comes as a kit and must ultimately be soldered by the user. Please note - we do not send assembly instructions, but a great photographed assembly guide can be found here! There are a few assembly tutorials listed below. All soldering is through-hole (relatively easy), but always check your component orientation before soldering!
The kit is pictured with the optional bread-board. We highly recommend this board! See related items below for all color options of the universal boards you have.
Note: The Sparkfun ProtoShield Kit does not include holes for the Uno R3 SDA and SCL.
