Description:
This sensor module has a pair of infrared transmitter and receiver LEDs, infrared LED emits at a certain frequency, when the sensing direction encounters obstacles (reflective surface), the infrared receiver LED, after comparator circuit processing with LED indicator will light up, at the same time the signal output interface for the output digital signal (a HIGH level signal) will be triggered, can be through the potentiometer knob adjusted the sensing distance, the effective distance range is 2 to 30 cm, the working voltage is 3.3V to 5V. The sensor sensing range can be through the potentiometer to adjust and have small interference, easy to assemble, easy to use, etc., can be widely used in obstacle avoidance, obstacle avoidance, line counting and black and white line tracking.
Module parameters:
- 1. Digital Output (DO): When the module detects obstacles in front of the signal, the green LED indicator on the circuit board will turn off and at the same time the output signal will be activated (Active HIGH on DO). The module detects 2 to 30cm, the detection angle is 35°, test distance can be adjusted through the potentiometer, when the potentiometer rotates clockwise, the detection distance decreases; when the potentiometer rotates counterclockwise, the detection distance increases.
- 2. Analog Output (AO): When the module detects obstacles in front of the signal, the voltage varies proportionally to the distance, ideally the signal varies from 0 to 5V, for a distance of 0 to 30cm, in practice this works from 0.15 to 4.2V, for a range of 2 to 30cm.
- 3. Sensors, active infrared reflection detection, therefore, the reflectivity and shape of the target are key to the detection range. White is the maximum detection range, and black is the minimum.
- 4. The sensor module output pins DO and AO can be directly connected to the microcontroller, also can control a 5v relay directly. Connection mode: VCC: 3.3 to 5V DC; GND: 0V; DO: Digital output; AO: Analog output.
- 5. The comparator used is the LM393 which has great working stability.
- 6. It can be powered by 3 and 5 VDC. It has a red LED, which indicates whether the module is on or off.
- 7. It has a 3mm screw hole, making it easy to install.
- 8. Circuit board size: 2.6cm * 1.4cm
