Photon Battery Shield SparkFun [DEV-13626] - (AD33707)

Description:

The SparkFun Photon Battery Shield provides an easy way to power your Photon module with a Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery. This shield not only powers your Photon, but also enables you to charge a LiPo battery. The board includes a JST connector for your single-cell LiPo battery and uses the Photon's on-board micro-USB connector for charge input.

This battery shield utilizes an MCP73831 for LiPo charging and a MAX1704X for fuel gauging. It is a very simple shield for your Photon, providing basic, portable power wherever and whenever you need it! The SparkFun Photon Battery Shield comes with the connectors already soldered on, so it’s ready to go!

The Particle Photon is a tiny Wi-Fi development kit for creating connected projects and products. Packing a 120MHz ARM Cortex M3 and integrated Wi-Fi into a small thumb-drive form factor, the Photon is not only powerful, but also easy to use. Its compact form factor is great for IoT projects with cloud connectivity.

Note: This shield not only works with the Photon but also the Particle Core.
