Description:
- It is a mixture of exclusive chemical concentrates, suspended in a high-grade petroleum distillate.
- Contains no silicones so can be used with confidence on all metals and plastics
- Its physical characteristics are not affected by the temperature range from -90"C to +260"C
- Does not carbonize at extreme temperatures, remains at the application site after ice formation, acting as a barrier from which ice can be easily removed
- It is non-conductive, can be used in high voltage devices and acts as a very effective means against corona discharge.
- It is fully compatible with all vegetable oils and fats, as well as hydraulic fluids.
- It does not affect paints or enamels, except for bituminous-based coatings, but it is advisable to remove it from common metals before applying cellulose, acrylics or polyurethanes.
- Although slightly toxic in its wet state, using WD-40 is not unpleasant and there is no need to clean it before moving from one manufacturing process to another.
- After evaporation of the carrier agent, the residue layer is completely harmless and does not need to be removed even when applied to food vending machines.
Competitive advantages
Lubricates: The lubricating ingredients in WD-40® expand widely and adhere tenaciously to all friction surfaces. WD-40® is silicone-free, cleanly applied, and leaves no sticky residue commonly associated with traditional oils.
Displaces moisture: WD-40® can penetrate beneath the moisture and establish a protective barrier between the moisture and the metal. WD-40® is non-conductive and quickly eliminates short circuits caused by moisture in electrical and electronic equipment.
Protects: WD-40® deposits corrosion-resistant ingredients over the entire treated surface, including microscopic irregularities, forming a protective barrier. This barrier provides positive protection against rust and corrosion caused by moisture and other corrosive agents.
Penetrates and oxidizes: WD-40® has a "super penetrating" action, loosening parts stuck due to rust and freeing stuck and rusted screws, connectors, and joints. Because it's wetter than water, WD-40® explains its incredible ability to expand and reach hard-to-reach areas with its active ingredients.
Clean: In addition, WD-40® plays an important role in gliding beneath grime, grease, and oils, cleaning the surface while forming a protective barrier against corrosion. The absence of Teflon and silicone prevents dirt buildup.
