Description:

This is a 40V DIAC (Diode for Alternating Current), a two-terminal semiconductor device. It is a bidirectional trigger diode that conducts current only after its trigger voltage (40V) has been exceeded, and as long as the circulating current is not less than the characteristic value for that device.
