Description:
These simple switches are the SparkFun RedBot's mechanical bumper sensor, allowing it to detect a collision before it happens. This sensor works like an SPST switch. When the whisker collides with a foreign object, it makes contact with a nearby nut, closing the connection and, by default, shutting off the motor. By connecting these mechanical bumpers to your robot, the whisker will collide with something before your robot collides with it.
The sensor has a 3-pin connector that plugs directly into the RedBot motherboard using female-to-female jumper cables. Use the included RedBot library to ensure your robot never crashes into anything again.

- 1 mechanical bumper plate
- 1 mustache
- 1 ¾" 4-40 nylon spacer
- 1 4-40 hex nut
- 3 x 3/8" 4-40 Phillips Machine Screws
