Description:
This is the magnetic door switch, a small reed switch designed, for example, to alert when doors, drawers, or anything else are opened. These types of switches are primarily used in home security systems. One half of the assembly is located in a window or door frame, and the other is attached to the window or door itself. When the switch assembly separates from each other, the contact is broken and an alarm is triggered.
When one magnetic piece is within 20mm of the other, the circuit is completed with the reed switches. Each switch can accept a maximum voltage of up to 100V at 500mA. It's also housed in durable ABS plastic and, with a pair of screws (not included), can be easily mounted on most surfaces.
