Description:
The next-generation Raspberry Pi single-board computer, with a 2.4 GHz quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A76 processor, delivers a CPU performance two to three times greater than that of the Raspberry Pi 4. In addition to a substantial improvement in graphics performance thanks to an 800 MHz VideoCore VII GPU, dual 4Kp60 video output via HDMI, and support for next-generation cameras through a redesigned Raspberry Pi Image Signal Processor, it provides a smooth desktop experience for users and opens the door to new applications for industrial clients.
For the first time, this is a full-size Raspberry Pi computer featuring silicon fabricated in-house by Raspberry Pi. The RP1 "southbridge" provides most of the Raspberry Pi 5's I/O capabilities and represents a leap forward in peripheral performance and functionality. Aggregate USB bandwidth has more than doubled, resulting in faster transfer speeds to external UAS drives and other high-speed peripherals. The dual-lane 1 Gbps MIPI interfaces for camera and display, present in previous models, have been replaced by a pair of four-lane 1.5 Gbps MIPI transceivers, tripling the total bandwidth and supporting any combination of up to two cameras or displays. Maximum SD card performance is doubled thanks to support for the high-speed SDR104 mode. Furthermore, for the first time, the platform offers a single-lane PCI Express 2.0 interface, compatible with high-bandwidth peripherals.
This module features 2 GB of LPDDR4X-4267 SDRAM.
