Description:
The LM306 is a high-speed voltage comparator with differential inputs, a low-impedance, high-current (100 mA) output, and two strobe inputs. This device senses low-level analog or digital signals and can directly drive digital logic, lamps, and relays. It incorporates short-circuit protection and overcurrent limiting. A low-level input at either strobe input holds the output high, regardless of the differential input. When both strobe inputs are open or at a high logic level, the output voltage is controlled by the differential input voltage. The circuit operates with any negative supply voltage between -3 V and -12 V with minimal variation in its performance. The LM306 is designed to operate between 0 °C and 70 °C.
