Description:
This is a high-precision, low-power Bosch BMP180 digital barometer. The BMP180 offers a pressure measurement range of 300 to 1100 hPa with an accuracy of up to 0.02 hPa in Advanced Resolution mode. It relies on piezoresistive technology for high accuracy, robustness, and long-term stability. These come factory-calibrated, with the calibration coefficients already stored in ROM. What makes this sensor great is that it is almost identical to its predecessor, the BMP085!
This board is breadboard friendly, as each pin is spaced 0.1". VCC can be set to 1.8V to 3.6V and the I/O lines are 5V tolerant. It normally runs off a regulated 3.3V supply. The analog and digital power (VDDD and VDDA) are tied to a single pin, but are decoupled separately. It connects to a microcontroller via the I²C bus (also known as TWI, or on the Arduino, the "Wire" library).
Characteristics:
- Two-wire Digital Interface (I²C, TWI, "Wire")
- Wide range of barometric pressure
- Flexible supply voltage range (1.8V to 3.6V)
- Ultra-low power consumption
- Low noise measurements
- Factory calibrated
- Includes temperature sensor
