Description:
These smooth (round) belts have a 70A durometer hardness and support temperatures of -35 to 121 °C (-30 to 250 °F). Their elasticity allows them to apply tension to pulleys when stretched, and their rubber construction creates excellent grip characteristics between the pulley and the belt. Smooth belts can be used in a variety of applications, such as follow focus systems, linear drives, 90-degree drives, XY tables, robot treads, battery hold-downs, etc.
Actobotics is a robotics building system based on extruded aluminum channels, gears, precision shafts, and ball bearings. Thanks to the two standardized hole patterns, almost all Actobotics components can be intuitively connected. The wide range of components makes it easy to build complex electromechanical prototypes or finished projects.
Note: These belts have a stretch factor of 12-26%. A low stretch factor will apply a small amount of side load to the shafts and generate less friction, while a higher stretch factor will apply a slightly greater side load to the shafts and have greater resistance to belt deflection.
