74HC180 8-bit Odd/Even Parity Generator - (AD16770)

Description:

This 9-bit (8 data bits plus 1 parity bit) universal, monolithic parity generator/checker features both odd/even outputs and a control input to facilitate operation in either odd or even parity applications. Depending on whether odd or even parity is being generated or checked, the odd or even inputs can be utilized as the 9th-bit parity input. Word-length capability is easily expanded by cascading.
