SparkFun Pi Wedge (Preassembled) [BOB-13717] - (AD15059)

Description:

This is the SparkFun Pi Wedge, a small board that connects to the Raspberry Pi's 40-pin GPIO connector and breaks out the pins for optimal breadboard distribution and spacing. Additionally, it adds a pair of decoupling capacitors on the power rails. The “Wedge” also makes initial setup easier: it allows you to connect an FTDI Basic module to the on-board serial port. Each version of this Pi Wedge comes preassembled and can be plugged into the RPi's GPIO port, allowing you to prototype without any soldering!

The Pi Wedge is compatible with the Raspberry Pi A+, B+ or later models and adapts the RPi’s GPIO header to a standard solderless breadboard such as our medium, large, and extra large breadboards. While technically compatible with a mini breadboard, it doesn't leave much room for external circuitry. If you love the Raspberry Pi and want to start prototyping with it, then look no further!
