Force Sensitive Resistor - Square [SEN-09376] - (AD12634)

Description:

This is a force sensitive resistor with a square, 1.75x1.5" sensing area. This FSR can vary its resistance based on the amount of pressure being applied to the sensing area. The greater the force, the lower the resistance. When no pressure is applied to the FSR its resistance will be greater than 1MΩ. This FSR can sense applied force anywhere in the range of 100g-10kg.

Two pins extend from the bottom of the sensor, 0.1" apart, making it easy to plug into a breadboard. There's a peel-off rubber pad on the other side of the sensing area for mounting the FSR.

These sensors are easy to set up and great for detecting pressure, but they aren't very accurate. Use them to detect if you're being squeezed, but you may not want to use them as a scale.
