Force Sensitive Resistor - Square [SEN-09376] - (AD12634)

Description:

This is a force-sensitive resistor with a square, 1.75x1.5", sensing area. This FSR can vary its resistance depending on the amount of pressure applied to the sensing area. The greater the force, the lower the resistance. When no pressure is applied to the FSR, its resistance will be greater than 1MΩ. This FSR can sense applied force anywhere in the range of 100g-10 kg.

Two pins extend from the bottom of the sensor, 0.1" apart, making it easy to connect to a breadboard. There is a peel-off rubber liner on the other side of the sensing area for mounting the FSR.

These sensors are easy to set up and great for detecting pressure, but they are not very precise. Use them to detect if something is being squeezed, but you might not want to use them as a scale.
