Power is taken from the Arduino's 5V pin and regulated onboard to 3.3V DC before being supplied to the XBee. The shield also takes care of level shifting on the XBee's DIN and DOUT pins. In the latest revision, the diode level converter has been replaced with a more robust MOSFET level converter.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe board also includes LEDs to indicate power and activity on the XBee's DIN, DOUT, RSSI, and DIO5 pins. The Arduino reset button is onboard the shield, and it has a 9x11 hole 0.1\" prototyping grid. The shield does not include headers; we recommend the Arduino Stackable Header Kit.
